For years the business quietly lived behind the scenes… until May 2025, when she officially expanded into beaded pens, accessories, and full graphic tees alongside her original vinyl work.
Every day brings new evolution as she works to shape Yellow Cardinal Co. into the boutique she’s always dreamed of.
Amy and her husband, Sam, are high-school sweethearts — together 19 years, married 12. In that time, they’ve built an empire of four beautiful daughters, raising them to be strong, independent, and self-sufficient young women with entrepreneurial spirits.
Originally from Rockford, Illinois (just 90 miles northwest of Chicago), the Ervin's uprooted in 2014 and planted deep roots in Summerville, South Carolina — a community they proudly call home.
The mission behind Yellow Cardinal Co. is simple: grow little entrepreneurs build a sustainable family-owned brand within the next two years create products that make people smile.
In their spare time, you’ll find the Ervin's camping, hiking, and exploring nature while building their family vlog, The Scenic Six, where they share frugal adventure tips, RV life, campground reviews, and more. They’re also a busy sports family — tennis and cheer life keeps them moving!
